Escape Games – A game where you are trapped in a room with only 1 door. You need to figure out how to escape from this room. Use your brain and think about what you can do to get out of this situation.
Escape Room – A game where you need to solve puzzles and riddles to escape from a room. Think outside of the box to come up with solutions to the problems that you encounter.
Now that we know what escape games are here are some tips how to make a perfect escape game.
Set up your escape game in advance
This goes without saying. Make sure you have everything set up before hand. This includes having all of your props ready and waiting to go. Also prepare a list of questions that you want to ask the guests. A good way to do this would be to print out a copy of the questions and then put them into a binder. You can use these questions later if they are not answered correctly in the game.
Have a theme
You should always try to have some kind of theme going on. If you don’t know what themes are, I suggest looking at other escape games online. There are many different types of themes to choose from. Some people like to just play a guessing game where everyone has to guess who did it. Other times, you might want to take turns being the murderer and trying to find clues to help solve the crime. Whatever type of theme you decide on, try to keep it consistent throughout the entire exit spiel.
Be creative
If you’re stuck for ideas, look around your house and see what objects you can use for the murder scene. Maybe you could even get your friends involved and have them come over and help you create the perfect murder scene.
